Overview
During the mid 2000s, Omega introduced a Railmaster variant within its Seamaster Aqua Terra line, drawing inspiration from the iconic reference CK2914 from 1957. Like most Aqua Terra watches of this era, the new Railmaster edition was offerred in a diverse array of sizes, including 36mm, 39mm, 41mm, and a dramatically oversized 49mm unique to this series. At that time, the prevailing trend for large watches was at its peak, resulting in the bigger options being the more popular choices while the 36mm version remained readily available even after the discontinuation of the line in 2012.
Ironically, the recent shift back towards smaller watches has led to a surge in demand for the 36mm Railmaster, making it now the most sought-after size among collectors. However, due to its limited production numbers, acquiring this specific size has become increasingly difficult. Often compared to the similarly designed Rolex Explorer I, the 36mm Railmaster, with its charming proportions and perfectly symmetrical dial, offers quite a compelling proposition for those with enough patience, persistence, and good fortune to find one.

Condition
Case: The stainless steel case shows normal wear in the form of a few hairlines, faint scratches, and tiny nicks throughout. The lugs are thick with good definition at the contours. The condition of the caseback is consistent with the rest of the watch. The backs of the lugs show signs of prior bracelet removal. The model and brand engravings are sharp and detailed. The serial number is lighter, but remains legible.
Dial, Hands, & Crystal: The black dial is in fantastic condition with no notable imperfections. The hands show some micro patina under a loupe, including one tiny dot on the hour marker lume. The SuperLuminova is consistent and fully functioning. The front sapphire crystal has some micro wear to the AR coating, including a faint scratch near the 1 o'clock hour marker. The rear sapphire crystals are squeaky clean and scratch-free.
Bracelet/Strap: The Omega stainless steel bracelet is in good condition and exhibits light stretching. The three links near the clasp on the 6 o'clock side have notably more wear than the rest of the links. The Omega stamp at the clasp remains crisp and well-defined.
