Overview
Released in the summer of 2021, the Chronomaster Original is nearly identical to the vintage A386 El Primero it is inspired by, sharing the same case design, proportions, and dial layout. The primary differences are a series of modern upgrades including the use of a sapphire crystal, Super-LumiNova, an exhibition case back, a high-frequency movement that can measure up to 1/10th of a second, and for this particular reference a new vintage-inspired reverse panda dial with the perfect shade of faux-aged lume. Famed for being one of the first chronographs to use an automatic movement, the historic El Primero in its classic 38mm size is a worthy addition to any watch collection.

Case has only a few superficial hairlines. Lugs are thick, full, and sharp with superb finishing. Dial, hands, and lume may have micro imperfections visible only with a loupe.
Case: The case is in fantastic condition and shows absolute minimal signs of wear. There are a couple of micro hairlines to the polished bezel and case sides, and one micro nick to the edge of the lug at 11 o'clock. The caseback is clean and consistent with the rest of the watch. The engravings are sharp and detailed.
Dial, Hands, & Crystal: The reverse panda dial and white hands are in perfect condition with no imperfections and fully functioning Super-LumiNova. The front and rear sapphire crystals are squeaky clean and scratch-free.
Bracelet/Strap: The Zenith stainless steel bracelet also shows minimal signs of wear. Outside of a few micro hairlines, the only notable imperfections are some minor scuffs on the two links closest to the clasp and on the smaller flip lock clasp.
Performance
Functions: All functions including the crown-winding, time-setting, date-changing, and chronograph start/stop/reset are working as expected.
